Daylight Savings Time 2015

Every year for the state of California, we partake in Daylight Savings Time. Daylight Savings Time is considered to be twice a year. It begins in March and ends in November. March is when we “spring forward” and set our clocks one hour ahead. Recently came across an article that claims daylight savings time can reduce the risk of heart attacks. What exactly is the point of daylight savings time and why exactly do we do it? All U.S. States, except Arizona and Hawaii, take part in the yearly tradition of daylight savings time. It was instituted as a way to conserve energy by moving an hour of daylight from morning to evening. Numerous studies back this annual idea. Most people claim they have beat Daylight Saving Time. This idea has a much more averse affect than people realize. Studies have shown a fall in heart attacks of almost 21% after “springing” forward. Another question, who thought of this idea? This is still not 100% known who started this whole idea. Most fingers point to Benjamin Franklin was assumed to have written an essay in 1784 about how changing time could conserve energy. We started this tradition right around WWI and never looked back. Whether you like it or not, don’t forget to “spring forward” your clocks one hour on March 8th!
